This looks like a job for Stretch Armstrong or Dhalsim or someone…
This page originally had an entirely different first panel, but it was really bad so I redid it. I have my penciled pages ready months (sometimes a year) in advance, and I always make minor corrections and improvements and occasionally redraw poses or faces when I go to final, but I don’t change entire panels on most pages. Maybe like one in seven or eight. I’m sure there are panels I could have redone better in previous pages, but after many years of struggling to make progress on a comic, I realized sometimes it’s better to just move on and improve on the next page rather than redoing the same pages over and over and never moving forward in the story.
I totally saved my taxes till the last minute and did them on Saturday, and I also had to pay estimated taxes for 2012 now that I’m officially a freelancer. So EXCITING!!! Er… Seriously, though, things are still crazy with my freelance schedule and I’m starting to get just a bit nervous. I wouldn’t be nervous at all if I didn’t also have a novel manuscript to finish by June 1.
Oh yeah, this week’s voting incentive is animated progress shots of page 41. I chose page 41 because I was happy with the way it turned out, and between then and the last time I did a progress shot gif, I’ve streamlined my process.
Okay, now back to freelance…
