As the longstanding general of the East Sphere army, Troy is the highest-ranking armband after Samsid.  He was one of only a few people willing to stand beside Samsid and help him take the throne from the brutal and volatile King Cannon, with the expectation that he'd be named Samsid's right hand once the dust settled.  But nine months later, he still hasn't gotten the promotion he wanted.

Troy has been a good general to the East Sphere, having brought together the East's official military—in which he served—with the disparate self-run militias across the sphere.  He values his fellow skillful soldiers, but he has little patience or respect for outsiders, or for anyone who might threaten his position.
